Empowering Youth for an Inclusive Mediterranean

The Better World Foundation, Partner of the YOUTHMED Project (Interreg NEXT MED Programme), is seeking to contract three youth organizations in Egypt to support the implementation of key local activities under the YOUTHMED project, co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme.
YOUTHMED addresses key regional challenges by empowering marginalized youth and fostering cross-border cooperation among youth organizations. It focuses on providing youth with digital skills, promoting gender equality, environmental sustainability, and building lasting partnerships across the Mediterranean.
Project Duration: 30 months (June 2025 – December 2027)
Selected organizations will support or execute the following activities at the local level:
- Direct Implementation (under BWF supervision)
- Deliver local training for youth on solidarity and entrepreneurship
- Organize gender-based discrimination awareness events
- Identify and support vulnerable youth groups
- Participation in Cross-Border Events
- Nominate and send youth to international exchange visits and capacity-building activities
- Facilitate presence in strategic networking events
- Digital marketing
- Support in the development of a comprehensive training program aimed at equipping young individuals with skills in utilizing digital marketing and social media platforms for income generation.
- Community Engagement
- Involve local and national political and cultural leaders in key public activities
Eligibility & Selection Criteria
Youth organizations must:
- Be legally registered and active in Egypt
- Have experience in youth training, engagement, or local development
- Be able to implement activities in their region
- Demonstrate capacity to mobilize youth and deliver community-based actions
- Comply with Interreg NEXT MED visibility and reporting rules
Priority will be given to:
- Organizations based in peripheral and rural regions
- Organizations which represent diverse cultural and religious communities
